Midwinter Restoration Event

Getting out in nature is a great way to deal with a midwinter slump. There are signs of spring in the wood, lots of little sprouts coming up and the Indian plum is about to bloom. We've also been hearing lots of eagle conversations in the wood, courtship perhaps?

Saturday, February 2, 9am to noon
Meet at the kiosk in the north parking lot (Fauntleroy Way SW and SW Rose St)
Dress in NW layers to stay warm and dry, with sturdy shoes or boots.
Rain and/or snow are not a problem, but we do cancel for high wind warnings.

Lisa and Sharon will be at a class on forest soils. We'll share microrhizomal tidbits with you when we get back. Eric Espenhort has kindly agreed to lead the work party in our absence. Thank you Eric!

Getting a Great Start to the New Year

Greetings Friends of Lincoln Park! We've got a maintenance work party coming up (going back to a previously worked area to "groom" it). If you miss us at our meet up at 9am, check the map on the kiosk to see where we are working. And remember, rain and snow are no problem, but we do cancel for high wind warnings. See you Sunday!
