Greetings Friends of Lincoln Park! The rain last night was so welcome and made me start thinking about getting ready for winter in the park. That means clearing invasive from areas we want to plant (winter is the best time for planting natives) and I've got a nice stash of plants for us this winter. Join us in restoring our beautiful forest!
- Saturday, Sept 7th 9am to noon
- Meet at the kiosk in the north parking lot (Fauntleroy Way SW and SW Rose St)
- Long sleeves, long pants, sturdy shoes and maybe a rain jacket recommended
And if you want native plants for your yard or a special project, the Washington Native Plant Society Fall sale is coming up Saturday, Oct 5th. Access the blog to learn more at wnps.org
