Greetings Friends of Lincoln Park, we have a maintenance work party coming up next Sunday. Going to nip those little green weeds early, before they go to seed!
- Meet at the kiosk in the north parking lot (Fauntleroy Way SW & SW Rose St)
- NW layers to stay warm and dry
Also, if you haven't already, please take a few minutes to complete Carter Case's survey. Carter is an intern with us and I think his work is going to be very helpful. He need about 15 more responses to have a good sample, so please take the time to read his note below and click the link to complete the survey. The survey allows for written comments, which are very valuable for our planning---let us know what you think of our work! Sharon
My name is Carter Case, and I am a senior at the University of Washington majoring in Environmental Studies. I have been working in Lincoln Park over the past two months with Sharon Baker in a patch of forest near the bluff trail, and over that time have developed a profound appreciation for both the habitat Lincoln Park boasts and the volunteers that help maintain its native and natural beauty. As part of my research, I am conducting a survey concerning how volunteers feel about restoration work, and what makes working in the forest attractive.
This survey is anonymous, completely voluntary, and any questions can be skipped if you don’t wish to answer. Your responses will only be used for my senior thesis research project at the University of Washington. I am looking to explore the relationship between community members and forest restoration work, and any response you can provide is extremely valuable to me and my research. The survey should take no more than 5 minutes to complete. If you are willing to participate, then please follow this link.
If you have any additional questions or comments, you can reach me at 425.361.3334 or email@example.com. Thank you all for your time and consideration.
