Future Conservationsts?

Tuesday, Oct. 28th, 21 kindergarteners from Nancy Dirks class, along with parent volunteers, come to Lincoln Park to learn more about trees and to plant fringe cup, yarrow and cinquefoil. They shook hands with Doug fir and learned to recognize its cones and they learned how Native Americans used western red cedar bark to make rain hats and shawls. They were a curious, high energy crew of future conservationist/restorationists. We really appreciate their efforts!
