Saturday work party, March 7, 2015

Greetings Friends of Lincoln Park. We've just finished 2 sections (H2 and H5) which total about 4 acres. Time to start a new area. Actually, we'll be moving into an area we've done some work on and Earth Corp has also worked on, so I bet we can finish another acre and a half on Saturday. What will we do when we get the whole forest in restoration (80 acres)? MAINTENANCE! Don't worry, we'll never run out of work in Lincoln.
  • Saturday, March 7th 9am to noon
  • Meet near the north parking lot kiosk (Fauntleroy Way SW and SW Rose St)
  • Dress in NW layers to stay warm and dry, with sturdy shoes or boots.

Keep watch on the West Seattle Blog. Our UW intern, Sam Timpe, did an interview recently with Tracy, the blog editor, on the effects of dogs on natural areas. Sam just did a review of the scientific literature on that topic. Our goal is to encourage everyone to protect the forests by keeping their dogs on leash.
