Saturday Work Party, Sept. 5, 2015

Greetings Friends of Lincoln Park, I hope you all made it safely through the storm. The rain is so welcome! The ferns and all in Lincoln Park were looking a bit sad after our long dry spell. The rain means we're moving toward the native plant planting season. As you likely know, native plants do best when planted in the fall and winter so they have a chance to get established before our dry summers. Lincoln Park will be one of the major sites for Green Seattle Day again this fall (November 7th), so we need to finish up getting sites ready for planting in November by removing the last of the invasive plants in selected areas.
  • Saturday, September 5th 9am to noon
  • Meet near the north parking lot kiosk (Fauntleroy Way SW and SW Rose St)
  • Dress in NW layers to stay warm/cool and dry. Long sleeves and pants suggested with sturdy boots or shoes.
Celebrate Labor Day with some good, hard, green work! Sharon
