Saturday work party 6/3/17

Greetings Friends of Lincoln Park, we've got a work party coming up. This a great opportunity to get the kids in your life out in the woods, working with you. Prevent "nature deprivation syndrome"!
  • Saturday, June 3rd 9am to noon
  • Meet near the north parking lot kiosk (Fauntleroy Way SW and SW Rose St)
  • Forecast is rain, but who knows--long sleeves and pant, with sturdy shoes or boots suggested for your protection.

We'll continue our 2017 emphasis on doing maintenance on all the wooded areas we've put into restoration over the last 12 years of work. We've accomplished a lot! Sharon

Sword Fern Die-Off

For the past several years concerned people have been attempting to understand a fern die off in Seward Park. It might also be happening on Mercer Island. So far, no evidence of a die off in Lincoln, but we're watching closely. To learn more about the die off, please read this paper written by Paul Shannon, a steward at Seward:

The more eyes we have watching for this the better! Sharon
