Saturday work party 5/5/18

Greetings Friends of Lincoln Park, it's been sunny and warm and the little weedy invasives (bedstraw, stinky bob, nipple wort, etc) are rapidly gaining ground. A great group of young people from Fauntleroy Community Church pulled a big pile of weeds today, but we need more work to get ahead of them before they go to seed. Be ready to work on the ground, you might want to bring a kneeling pad and a hand trowel.
  • Saturday, May 5, 9am to noon,
  • Meet near the north parking lot kiosk (Fauntleroy Way SW & SW Rose St)
  • The current forecast is for "slight chance of showers", I predict a beautiful, sunny day, but bring your rain jacket just in case. Sturdy shoes or boots are good.

Sun. work party/new tech

Greetings Friends of Lincoln Park, we have a work party coming up.
  • Sunday, April 15th 9am to noon
  • Meet near the north parking lot kiosk (Fauntleroy Way SW & SW Rose St)
  • Dress in NW layers to stay warm and dry, with sturdy shoes or boots
(from the email notice)
New tech info:
As you may see by the new e mail address, I've set up a gmail account just for Friends of Lincoln Park. When I tried to send e mails to the FLiP group in my own account two days in a row (Fri. warning of wind, Sat. cancellation of work party) Google must have decided I was spamming and bounced messages to all 330 of you! Hope that won't happen with a dedicated address.

If you don't want to be on my mailing list, please let me know!

Thanks, Sharon

Saturday work party 4/7/18

Greetings Friends of Lincoln Park, we've got a work party coming up.
  • Sat. April 7th 9am to noon
  • Meet near the north parking lot kiosk (Fauntleroy Way SW & SW Rose St)
  • Dress in NW layers to stay warm and dry, with sturdy boots or shoes. Hiking boots are great for shovel work.
We'll be doing ivy and blackberry removal in the area near the bluff. We've almost finished that area! This is the time of the year when ground nesting birds are active, so we'll have to be very careful to not disturb them!
