Sunday work party 7/15/18

Summer greetings Friends of Lincoln Park! We've got a work party coming up. It's a great chance to enjoy the green summer beauty of Lincoln while doing good for neighborhood and the earth. Kids are welcome!
  • Sunday, July 15th 9am to noon
  • Meet near north parking lot kiosk (Fauntleroy Way SW & SW Rose St)
  • Long sleeves and pants suggested for protection!
We'll be moving into an area we planted a few years ago (you may remember the rainiest Green Seattle Day planting in history) and clearing out any invading non natives. It's really important to maintain our gains!
A rare (for here) California Tortoiseshell Butterfly, in the park, 7/7/18.
Topsides of the wings are bright orange - you can't miss them in flight!
If you miss us at 9am, check the map on the kiosk to see where we're working or call me at 206 464 1068. Sharon

Saturday work party 7/7/18

Good day Friends of Lincoln Park! We've got a work party coming up! The forest is beautiful these days, come out and enjoy it. Kids are always welcome!
  • -Sat July 7th 9am to noon
  • -Meet near the north parking lot kiosk (Fauntleroy Way SW & SW Rose St)
  • -Currently, there is a slight chance of rain on Saturday am. Bring a rain jacket and hat! Long sleeves and pants always suggested for protection. Wear sturdy shoes or boot.
We're nearing the end of the ground nesting bird season, so we'll be able to go deeper into the woods. But still some pesky small weed to get out, as well. We've done a great job of getting them before they go to seed this year; that means less work next year.

Wilson's Warbler in the park 6/22/18. They nest there.
If you miss us at 9am, check the map on the kiosk to see where we are working or call me at 206 464 1068. Sharon
